Diana Prado obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Psychology in 2002 from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. She also received her Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2008. Diana is a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. She also holds her Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language-Hearing Association. Diana has worked for 5 years as an Assistant Speech Language Pathologist and for 12 years as a Speech Language Pathologist in various clinics, rehabs, ECI programs, home health agencies and school districts. Diana was a foster parent for 9 years and adopted 4 children out foster care. She is currently happily raising her 6 children.
Jorge Prado obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Biology in 2004 from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Jorge is a certified Texas Educator and has worked as a public school teacher for 17 years. Jorge has worked as a Special Education Teacher serving Special Education students, including student with Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities for 10 years. For the past 7 years, Jorge has worked as a middle school Science and STEM Teacher. Jorge is also a certified bilingual, physical education and STEM (through Project Lead The Way) teacher. Jorge was a foster parent for 9 years and adopted 4 children out foster care and is currently happily raising his 6 children with his beautiful wife.
Homes in Harmony, Foster Care and Adoption Agency, LLC is an alternative to institutional care for individuals at birth to the age of 17 years old who experienced neglect and abuse. The Agency will strive to support and provide for children who enter our care by providing 24-hour support, 7 days a week to foster families and children. Homes in Harmony will provide high quality assessments of prospective foster families, support, guidance, and case management, supervision, training and development of approved care providers. We believe in supporting all children who enter care regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, and age by matching them appropriately to families who appreciate and respect their values.
Homes in Harmony accepts referrals for foster care including foster and adoptive placements. Homes in Harmony accepts child referrals from ages birth to 17 and young adult referrals ages 18-22, male and female, regardless of race, religion, or ethnicity. We provide foster care and adoptive services for children/young adults in both Child Care Services and Treatment Services at Basic and Therapeutic (Moderate, Specialized, & Intense) levels and Voluntary Return to Foster Care and Voluntary Extended Foster Care for young adults. Homes in Harmony does accept placement of sibling groups of one or more children, maintains capacity for placement of sibling groups and will strive to keep siblings together. Homes in Harmony does accept placement of pregnant children and young adults parenting their children, provided a home suitable for the child or young adult and his/her child is available. Homes in Harmony accepts treatment services to include emotional disorders, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, primary medical needs, or trafficking victim services.
